Times Square Hotels

No trip to New York City is complete without a visit to exciting Times Square. A dazzling neighborhood where the urbanization of Manhattan is perhaps best reflected, Times Square has plenty to offer visitors to New York City. A big part of New York City’s social scene, Times Square offers shopping, dining and a more than satisfying mix of nightlife entertainment, from Broadway theaters to exciting clubs. The predominantly upscale hotels in Times Square provide guests with the best in comfort while keeping them close to so many exciting attractions. The following are suggestions for Times Square hotels and hotels near Times Square.
If you are thinking about staying in one of the Times Square hotels, but are concerned about steep rates, you might consider the Broadway Inn. Offering clean and comfortable singles, double rooms and suites at a good price, the Broadway Inn has managed to gather a loyal guest base, so book ahead. This affordable choice for hotels near Times Square has more of a bed and breakfast feel than that of a hotel. The 41 units feature a telephone, air conditioning, private bathrooms and color television. If you are traveling with kids, you will be happy to know they stay for free if you book a suite. Couples might consider booking one of the limited rooms with king beds and whirlpool tubs. A continental breakfast is included in your rates and the hotel offers discounts to a few nearby restaurants. The staff at the Broadway Inn provides some of the best service you will find at any of the hotels near Times Square, and aside from not having an elevator, there are few drawbacks to staying here. The Broadway Inn is located just off of Times Square at 264 W. 46th Street and you can find discounted parking nearby. Be sure to check for discounts on Broadway tickets and take advantage of the nearby attractions, such as Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall.
Among the more hip hotels in Times Square is the 57-story W Times Square, found at 1567 Broadway. Guests will find an array of room options at this modern choice for Times Square hotels, from plush standard rooms on up to the amenity-filled suites. The standard room amenities are enough for most, and include a 27-inch plasma television, DVD and CD players, a stocked mini-bar, well-dressed signature beds, wireless internet service, side tables and floating glass desks. Many of the W hotel’s 507 guest rooms and 43 suites have views of Times Square and feature double-paned windows. At the W Times Square, you will find one of the neighborhood’s most alluring restaurants, and among its two bars is the popular nightlife spot, The Whiskey, which pulsates with DJ-spun beats from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. Get some exercise at the hotel’s fitness center and rejuvenate both mind and body at the onsite AWAY Spa. While the rates at the W Times Square aren’t cheap, they are neither outrageous, especially when considering what you get in comfort and service. Enjoy the best of Times Square here, as well as nearby attractions that include Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
