The top floor suite is named after Oliver Messel who was a famous set/costume designer in London’s West end and Broadway in New York. His assistant John Claridge helped Messel design the stunning suite. “The Messel Suite has an absolute world wide reputation” says Claridge, “Michael Jacksonstays here on several occasions because he likes it so much. He particularly likes this suite because it’s charming and relaxing.” The extravagant suite features an ante-room, sitting room, private terrace, double bedroom and bathroom. The Oliver Messel Suite is also where Elizabeth Taylorand Richard Burtonspent their honeymoon in 1964. Today the suite will set you back a whopping £2,950 a night or a little over $6,000 in the US.
