Twelve couples will be able to dine in private tents at the Palace, placed around the pool. There, couples can have their first drink and canapés and then move on to a private table for a romantic dinner. After-drinks, dessert and shisha are again served in the traditional tents. This package costs Dhs1,500 per couple and is inclusive of a bottle of champagne.
Built in an old-Arabian style, this new hotel is part of a development springing up around the imposing Burj Dubai, which is now the tallest building in the world. This hotel is going to be great when the surrounding construction has finished, but right now, it’s noisy if you’re lying round the pool or wanting to sit on the terraces or balconies. Already the restaurants, Asado an Argintinean steakhouse and Thiptara a Thai restaurant are causing a stir with local residents. The rooms are tasteful, with a modern twist on traditional Arabic design.
